Canada Latest Express Entry Draw

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held an all-program Express Entry draw.

After a long time, Canada conducted an all-program Express Entry draw last week on the 11th of January, the first draw in 2023. The draw of January 18 was the 2nd all-program express Entry draw of the year 2023.

To whom was the invitation given?

It was an all-program drawing, applicants who were part of those in the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) could be eligible for an invitation to Apply (ITA) during the last Draw for Express Entry.

The program-wide Express Entry draw issued a total of 5,500 ITAs for applicants who had a minimum CRS score of 490. 17 points less than the 1st of January's Draw for Express Entry scoring cutoff of 507.

The tie-breaking rules in this drawing was set on November 24, 2022 at 21:14,59 UTC. Candidates who met the required score threshold were only eligible to participate if they had completed their profile with the Express Entry pool before this date.

How do you make the Express Entry draw work?

The IRCC determines the candidates' rank within the pool using points-based systems known as the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The top-ranked candidates are selected from the pool they are then invited to apply for Canada PR.

Every Express Entry draw that is conducted comes with an instruction set which include:

• The draw was posted online during drawing.
• Utilized as part of it's Express Entry system to invite applicants from the pool of applicants.

The general guidelines contain:

• The draw date and time. the draw.
• The number of applicants that will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
• What is the immigration program(s) are being considered in the drawing (some draws might only accept applicants for one program, for instance, only for Federal Skilled Trades).
