A person must demonstrate sufficient German proficiency, satisfy certain financial conditions, and have worked in Germany for more than 33 months in a position that demands the highest levels of education to be eligible for permanent settlement.

● The last one is the Settlement Permit, also known as Permanent Residence Permit. To qualify for the Settlement Permit, one must have held a regular residence visa or an EU Blue Card for at least five years, and the applicant must also meet specific language criteria.
